“Loff Is All You Speed” is an impressive single that pays homage to two influential sources of inspiration. The track blends the retro vibes of “la ruta del Bacalao,” a historical cultural movement that swept through Valencia in the 1980-90s, characterised by marathon club nights and eclectic DJ sets featuring synth-pop, electro, and techno. Infusing this nostalgic essence with immense vibrant energy, the song takes a huge leap into the future by incorporating contemporary elements. Through its pulsating beats and bilingual lyrics, “Loff Is All You Speed” captures a diverse range of emotions, promising an exhilarating musical experience. The video was shot at a Spathios space.
This pairing is a true trailblazing moment in the techno scene and one we can’t wait to see thrive. Héctor Oaks album ‘Fuego Universal’ on his Kaos imprint is out September 29th.

We caught up with Héctor to discuss the collaboration…
How did you begin working together?
I have always admired SITA’s work. Her versatility and the way she can seamlessly move across different areas is truly admirable.
Our first interaction was through Instagram, we started talking and we realised we had a lot in common, especially when it came to how we express ourselves through music.
We had been talking about doing a collaboration together for some time. Interestingly, around the same time, I was in the process of developing my new album, which is a mostly a feature with several artist I admire. This is when I thought that Sita would be a perfect fir for it.
I knew that her approach and style would blend very good with my own, and I was excited about the unique sound we could create together. So, I reached out to her and she was immediately on board. Working with her has been a great pleasure and I am excited to see what the future brings.
Where did the inspiration for the track come from?
The inspiration comes from the sounds of “la ruta del Bacalao,” reinvented with the use of elements of contemporary styles. “La ruta del Bacalao” was a Spanish cultural movement that occurred in Valencia from the 1980s until the mid-1990s, where clubs would open for days and DJs were playing a mix of synth-pop, EBM, electro, and techno.
What was the creative process?
Creating this track was like mixing up a new language. We took musical elements – from two different places, and mix them together. As I said, we got elements of “La ruta del Bacalao,” which is full of energy, melancholy, and punk, we laid them down in a repetitive way that creates this really trippy feel as classic techno. Spicing it up with contemporary elements of pop music.
So really, the whole process was about bringing together things that you wouldn’t necessarily go together. It’s a bit like inventing a new language that uses words from two different ones, but ends up expressing feelings and telling a story in a totally unique way.
Have you got any further collaborations in the works?
Collaborating on this album with such a diverse and talented artists has been a great experience. I think that is a way of elevating my production to a different level.
As for more collaborations in mind? sure many coming.
