Completing this summer’s LIDO Festival line-up, Bombay Bicycle Club are headlining Victoria Park on 14th June, accompanied by Metronomy, Alice Phoebe Lou, and more.

Last June, in its first year, LIDO Festival shone as the new early summer little sister of London’s All Points East, bringing A-list artists Charli xcx, Massive Attack, Jamie xx and more to Victoria Park for a series of one-day celebrations. For its sophomore season of events this coming June, the festival isn’t letting up. We’ve already had announcements that CMAT will headline on 12th June – accompanied by Father John Misty, Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory, and more – and Maribou State will take up the mantle on 13th – joined by Kelis, Folamour, etc. 

Now, LIDO share the third and final headliner for their summer line-up: Bombay Bicycle Club. The indie darlings from London’s North have one of the most refined and rewarding catalogues in modern British guitar music, and have a live-scene legacy matched by few, shown in abundance in August last year when the band were special guests for The Maccabees’ comeback headline show.

Set for Sunday 14th June, the band’s LIDO show – or shows, we should say – will be extra special. Celebrating two decades together, the band will be playing two sets: firstly, a front-to-back performance of their much-loved sophomore album, Flaws, in the afternoon, followed up later in the evening for a full rendition of their ubiquitous, classic debut record, I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Joining the band are fellow cult heroes, Metronomy, whose psychedelic grooves and sing-along choruses will be sure to capture goers’ imagination in the sunset slot. Elsewhere, there’s folky favourites Alice Phoebe Lou, Billie Marten and Lucy Rose, with more artists set to be announced in due course.
