In partnership with the Serbian performance artist Marina Abromović, guests can enter the spa experience and rejuvenate their mind, body and soul – who knew the hustle and bustle of zone one in London could be so relaxing?

Tucked away between two former office blocks, with Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Stations overlooking its luxury bedrooms, The Mandrake hotel seems a far cry from the busyness of central London. But that’s the real charm of the five-star hotel – founded by entrepreneur and art collector Rami Fustok – it’s like a Pandora’s box filled with old heirlooms, trinkets, and instagrammable walls itching to be pictured, nestled within the loudness of Soho. Now, it’s elevating the hotel experience, with the launch of its new immersive spa in collaboration with Marina Abromović Longevity Method: introducing the Damu spa.
Hailing to ancient Mesopotamia, which brought about the birth of the Sumerian religion, Damu was the revered god of healing and transformation, echoing the spa’s efforts to instil natural methods to increase organic longevity, gifting guests with a new lease of life from its one-of-a-kind technology and timeless traditions. Dubbed as the overarching trend in spas and wellness for 2025, longevity becomes the beating heart of Damu’s forward-thinking approach to spa treatment.
Created by Dr Nonna Brenner in Switzerland, the Marina Abromović Longevity Method products use bioavailable, naturally derived nutrients, in the form of energy and immunity drops. As the only hotel globally to offer these natural drops, they are available for guests to use and purchase in both the rooms and spas: rich with ingredients like cranberry juicy, grapeseed flour and hawthorn berry, the drops enhance metabolic efficiency, provide the body with natural antioxidants, and increase bodily longevity.

Alongside this partnership, the Damu spa has been tailored to reflect The Mandrake’s tranquil ambience: designed by Tala Fustok Studio, guests can explore the dressing rooms clad in matte black mosaic tiles, dimly lit mud caves (sourced from the Austrian Alps no less), sensory wave pools, and an array of external treatments. From BBL Moxi laser machines and SKinpen Collagen Stimulation therapy, to Dermalux LED phototherapy, the treatments can be booked privately upon request. And if you thought they were stopping there, think again, after exploring Damu’s treatments, guests can finish their experience in the Tranquility Room, enshrouded in green shrubbery, where the landscape architect Bas Smets enriched the scenery with a series of healing botanicals.
“We are thrilled to launch Damu, a spa that embodies are commitment to innovation and excellence”, says Rami Fustok, founder and owner of The Mandrake. The spa experience is open from February 2025, every day between 9am to 9pm. Book here.
